Cityline, a dwarf hydrangea hybrid series recently from Germany, features strong stems, large bright flowers, cold hardiness and mildew resistance. All 4 are dwarf macrophylla varieties reaching only 1-3 feet and fit in most gardens. Blooms in summer and ages nicely into fall. Good in groupings, in a perennial or shrub border, as a specimen or low hedge. Also good in containers. For best results, plant in partial shade and water frequently. Venice: Long lasting deep blue/fuschia colored blooms Berlin: Large, long lasting clear pink flowers. Paris: Smaller plant with large intense red blooms Vienna: Smallest of the four, dark pink flowers emerging with cream throat.
