It’s surprising that an animal so timid can become such brazen, ravenous eating machines capable of devouring entire landscapes. But, it’s estimated that the population of deer on the North American continent is higher today than when the first settlers arrived. The truth is that the deer is one of nature's most adaptable animals. They’ll eat a wide selection of fruits, flowers and plants. As farms are encroached upon by urban sprawl, deer don't die out. They simply adapt to the new situation.
