These tiny pests can do a lot of damage and even ruin an entire lawn. The key is to detect and treat early. White grubs live in the top few inches of soil and feed on the roots of lawn grasses. White grubs are typically .5" to 1.5" long, milky white with a brown head and almost always are curled into a "C"shape.
You see an overall thinning of your lawn
Your grass looks dried out and wilted, even if soil is moist
You have large brown patches on your turf
Dead turf can be picked up in one piece like a carpet
Moles, birds or raccoons are frequent visitors on your lawn
If this is the case, dig up a section of the lawn and look for the white C-shaped critters within the soil.
Grubs not only eat the roots of your grass, they attract moles that wreak more havoc. Get rid of ‘em (and other damaging bugs) with Grub Beater. This nifty spray disrupts the hormonal balance of the grub (and other insects such as Chinch bugs) ridding them before they can molt to the next life stage. Grub Beater also suppresses the desire of some insects to feed, and also repels many insects from treated area–all without harming beneficial insects such as honey bees and lady bugs.
