Blue Orchids
Love the viedo, I will visit Mahoneys to look at the blue orchids I am planning a boy baby shower for my daughter in law and may use them for the center pieces on each table.

My blue orchid sits over my blue siamese fighting fish; I hope
he thinks he is swimming in a tropical paradise!

blue
The blue of skies,
of Elizabeth Taylor’s eyes,
of Monet’s flowers
and azure bowers.
To those who say it’s surreal
I say everything can be found
in nature.

At first glance I didn’t like the color but the more I look at it the more I am intrigued by it. Makes me feel like I am looking at a beautiful open sky.

I immediatley fell in love with them! I purchased one of the larger plants with a beautiful pot to match the blue in the flower and it looks absolutley stunning in my dining room. It matches the blue in my hand painted chandelier! I’m new to Orchids, but the employees at Mahoney’s are so helpful and took the time to explain to me how to care for them.
Blue Orchids
They are absolutely captivating, celestial. I’m going to get one.

Blue Orchid
I saw one at my sister-in-law’s house warming party. I absolutely love it. I’m getting one myself for Mother’s Day!
Blue Orchid
Absolutely love orchids… this is the first time I have seen the blue variety, and they are absolutely stunning…
Blue Orchid
I love orchids and have a beautiful yellow spider looking flowering orchid. I like the blue of this orchid, it reminds me of the Caribbean!
blue orchids
blue is my favored color , the first one i saw them i told they where to nice to be true but i guess nature didn’t finish to surprise me yet
blue orchids
Orchids in my opinion are the most beautiful flowers with so many variations that I don’t think the blue orchid should have been grown in such a manner. It takes away from the beauty in the flower. Just my opinion. Enjoy them if you like them.
Blue Orchid
Thank you so much Mahoney’s for giving us the opportunity to own the Blue Orchid. Even though it is dyed and will be white, it is an honor for me to have the pleasure of owning one of these blue orchids. If I had the money, I would absolutely purchase a real blue orchid, but for now, I am extremely happy with the blue orchid I purchased at Mahoney’s in East Falmouth, MA. Thank you sou so much for giving me the opportunity to own one of these.
Sincerely,
Betty A. Tingley
The Blue Orchid
Thank you, Mahoney’s, for introducing us to this unique and beautiful flower. Growing orchids has become such a pleasure, over the years, due to their seemingly endless varieties and spectrum of colors. I cannot wait to add this one to my collection!
Blue Orchids
For someone longing for summertime hydrangeas, these orchids will be scooped up , brought home and admired in anticipation of sunny weather and balmy summer breezes.
Myself, I shall purchase blooming bromeliads and pert primroses dressed in nature’s colors and patiently wait for summer blues!

The blue orchids in your store are certainly quite eye cathcing, and in a lage
grouping are almost overwhelming. I think that these flowers would be most effective when used in combination in mixed bouquets and flower arraignments. As houseplants, they would still be interesting, I feel that the flowers that had the subtler shades and variations of blue were by far the most attractive.
Blue Orchids
Look dyed to me, sort of fake looking, not something I will buy. I still love the white and pink ones!

Who knew an orchid
Could be the color of sky?
Such heavenly blue.
I think they are a lovely bit of floral art.
Blue Orchid
Nice shades of blue. A very nice blossom!
Very nice
I think the blue adds yet another color to liven up a collection of plants. I think they are great.
Blue Meanies? Blue Skies? Blue Hawaii? Blue Heaven?
What do I think of the Blue Orchid? Orchids come in lots of colors- red, orange, yellow, green, hot pink, white, etc. People come in lots of different colors too. Are they different? Kind of reminds me of touring a friend’s garden. Looking at a plant and telling about it she will add ‘look at this one! It is gorgeous! It is my favorite!’ Then, moving on to the next plant she says ‘isn’t this fabulous! Just smell that! It is my favorite.’ You get the idea. We have had a long and snowy winter. I loved being in the greenhouse today. And I loved the Farmer’s Market.
And by the way, did you see that Blue Orchid? Isn’t it gorgeous! Just fabulous! It’s my favorite!
The Blues
There are “good blues”: True blue, Out of the blue, Blue ribbon, Blueblood, Bluestocking, Bluebook, The Blues, Baby blues and “bad blues”: feeling blue, Blue devils, The blues, Blue Monday, Baby blues, Singing the blues, Blue laws, Blue language, Bluenose and Into the blue. Whatever the connection to the word blue, it remains my favorite color. It has a cool calming effect. Navy, azure, robin’s egg or turquoise, it is a universal favorite. Cornflower blue, cerulean, royal, sapphire, sky blue, slate blue, steel blue, indigo and midnight, I see them all in these beautiful flowers. Blue is strong, steadfast, light and friendly, mystical, spiritual and exciting. They are gorgeous!!!
Blue orchids
I love orchids. These blue ones are interesting, but they don’t look real.
Leave that blue for the sky
Leave that blue for the sky and tacky silk flowers.
blue orchid
Sorry but I really do not like them, they are fake. Look closer to the Orchids and you would see that the petal is white and those “nerves” are blue, means that they where fed with some kind of “blue food coloring”.
You can have them blue or any other color you like as long as you feed them that specific color.
Sorry one more time, I love Orchids, they are my favorites besides the ferns, but those blue ones, it’s a no-no.
blue orchids
Whats niot to like blue is a favorite color on Cape Cod
Blue Orchid
Vibrant & Fun! Any orchid is beautiful, but the blue orchid makes a statement.
Blue Orchids
When I first saw them, I was sure that they were artificial. Or at least dyed somehow. True blue is rare in flowers and these just don’t look natural! Not sure I would add one to my collection. I’d like to know which orchids were used to breed this variety.
Blue Orchids
They are so different and pretty vibrant with the other touches of colors within them! Attempting to capture the colors in a painting would be a desire along with photographing them for use in creating greeting cards!
These would be a dream to receive and share with friends!
Thanks for the video!
blue orchids
They’re certainly unusual — but pretty, too. I’ll probably add one to display with a lovely white one from Mahoney’s.
Blue Orchid
Magnificent color. It does look to me like a hydrangea from a distant.
Blue Orchids
I am in the group of fans that like them as much as any of the orchids I have seen at Mahoney’s Garden Center, but have a few other favorites. Blue, though is my overall favorite color and I love to see it in a grouping. That is why I will buy a beautiful blue orchid. Surely, there will be a song about this beauty.
Blue Orchids
I love orchids of all types, but this one looks fake. True blue flowers are very rare in nature. I would probably still buy one just for its uniqueness.
Blue Orchid
It is a beautiful, natural, work of art!!
I try to keep orchids around the house at all times, they bring a tranquil vision to my home.
How pretty! A piece of the
How pretty! A piece of the tropics, especially during these freezing days.
Beautiful Blue Orchids !
I am always trying to incorporate blue into my outside flower garden
and other than violets (which rarely bloom for me) I have nothing inside that blooms BLUE.. much less blooms for such a loonngg time!
How wonderful !
Blue Orchids
I am usually excited to see something new in the field of ornamental horticulture. This has proven to be the exception.
The artificially forced blue of these orchids looks as natural as the blue of boo berry cereal, a cartoon smurf or one of those unfortunate “painted” glass fish (these are largely off the market now but were tropical aquarium fish injected with dye to make them more marketable). I would prefer that the white orchids were left as they were, simple and elegant.
Perhaps someone could use their time and expertise to create a new hybrid that didn’t rely on chemicals to enhace flower color or just improve upon any of the myriad of existing hybrids for cold tolerance, ease of re-blooming or resistance to fungus and root rot.
contest
This is the most beautiful shade of blue.
We are going to buy these for our June wedding.
Blue Orchids
Sorry to say that I don’t really like them at all….they look artificial…they definitely caught my eye and drew me right over to them, but upon closer inspection they just seemed unnatural. not a fan. :(
Blue orchids
I’d use it in as a centerpiece for its color for a particular occasion, knowing that the color would eventually vanish and the flower revert to white. The color seems too “electric” for a natural color, and seems rather uneven in concentration in an unpleasant way. Reminds me too much of the blue celery I created with food coloring as a child!
blue orchids
Every year I attend the garden show and I have never seen anything like this in their massive orchid display. Stunning, beautiful and reasonably priced.
Blue Orchids
I saw them in the Winchester store…they catch your attention as soon as you walk in the door…you have to get a closer look, they are so unusual, so different. I have to say I like the traditional colors better, they seem more soothing than the blue…but they are still beautiful!
Too intrusive
I saw these in person at Mahoneys and they didn’t look natural, and were also quite large. The effect was that they looked inorganic. I think I would like the shade if they were smaller and less obtrusive.
blue orchid
Seems artificial and therefore not pleasing.
"Blue Orchid"
You see dyed tropical fish. You see Hibiscus treated w/ growth inhibitors. Even genetically altered zebras(tropical fish) in day glow colors of red, green and yellow. What about your blue and purple leaved poincianas at Xmas? Good money says one can’t call this any sort of natural grex. My guess is dye either injected or ingested similar to systemic insecticides. Do they in fact have a name tag. I bet not. JI
Blue orchid
A blue orchid in general, and as seen in this video, smack of artificial coloring or dyes. But I saw these blue orchids at the New England Grows! tradeshow and they were stunning. I would love to have some of these growing together in my home. Thank you!
