Heritage River Birch - Betula nigra Heritage

A fast-growing, hardy, adaptable native tree with a broad, pyramidal form. Layers of cinnamon, salmon and brown exfoliating bark peel away revealing the creamy white inner bark. It can be grown as either a single or multi-stemmed tree and is especially effective when multiple trees are grouped together in a grove. Trees provide excellent cover and nesting sites for birds, many of which are attracted to the seeds. Glossy dark green leaves turn yellow in fall. Highly disease and pest resistant. Grows in sun or part shade, tolerates moist to wet soils.
