Mahoney’s Rewards is a free club where you’ll earn points whenever you shop. For every dollar you spend at Mahoney’s, you’ll earn a point. Collect 250 points and you’ve earned a $5 Reward that can be used toward any future purchase.

Points may be redeemed at any Mahoney’s Garden Center. You’ll see your current Rewards status on the bottom of every Mahoney’s receipt, or you may ask any cashier to tell you your current point status.
A minimum of 250 Points ($5) must be earned before redeeming, but you’re not required to redeem more than 250 points at one time. Points do not expire, and we’ll happily keep unused points until they are redeemed–even into the next year.

Earning Reward Points is fun, but even more valuable are the bonus offers, extra discounts and private invitations that we email only to Rewards Members. We have lots of specials, sales and events planned for the coming year. We hope you’ll join us!

We promise we’ll never share your email address, telephone number or information with anyone. If you ever decide you don’t want the Rewards emails you may opt out of the email list and still earn your Points.

Some Fine Print

Points are earned on all purchases except sales tax and gift cards, however points are earned when redeeming gift cards.

The information we ask when joining is only to enable us to credit points to your account, and send you free offers and discounts. We will not send out junk mail or spam. In fact, we promise to work hard to make every offer extra special. If you ever decide you don’t want the Rewards emails, you may opt out of the email list and still earn your Points.

You must be at least 13 years of age to sign up for your own card. Mahoney’s reserves the right to make future updates and modifications to the Rewards Club. Some exclusions may apply.
Points may not be redeemed for cash, and cannot be used to pay sales tax. Points may not be shared with other Reward Members.

Is there a fee for joining?

No. Mahoney’s Rewards is a free program.

I already receive emails from Mahoney’s, Do I still need to join Rewards?

Yes. In order to earn and redeem points, we need to input your name and phone number into Mahoney’s 8-store cash register system. Plus we will eventually phase out our basic email list in favor of the new, improved Rewards program.

Do you really need my phone number?

Yes, but not to call you. We need your telephone number to create your personal Rewards account. The benefit to you is that if you forget your card, or if anyone in your family shops at Mahoney’s, we can look up your account by your telephone number. Be assured we will never share your private information with anyone.

Why do you ask for my birth year?

To simplify our Senior Discount program. On Tuesdays, (Wednesdays on the Cape) shoppers age 60 and older who use their rewards card automatically get the 10% Senior Discount without asking. Rewards Members get both the discount and points. If you feel uncomfortable, you may join without providing a birth year.

May I join without providing an email address?

If you are signing up online, your email address is required. If you do not want to provide your email address you will need to join in person at any store. Please keep in mind that we have some terrific private sales and exclusive specials that will only be sent via email. Without your email address we won’t be able to tell you. Why not see for yourself? At any time you can opt out of our emails and still earn points. And again, we will never share your email address (or any other information) with outside sources.

How do I earn points?

Points are earned whenever you make a purchase at Mahoney’s. You’ll earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. Occasionally there will be opportunities to earn double or triple points! Points are earned on all purchases except sales tax and gift cards, however points are earned when redeeming gift cards.

How do I redeem points?

Reward Points can be redeemed when you are making a purchase at any Mahoney’s Garden Center. A minimum of 250 Points must be earned before you can redeem your reward. You’re not required to redeem more than 250 Points at any time, and points do not expire. Reward Points may not be redeemed for cash and cannot be used to pay sales tax. Points may not be shared with other Rewards Members.

Can I earn Points before I receive my card?

Yes. Your membership will be in effect a few days after you sign up. Simply tell the cashier that you are a Reward Member, and she/he can look up and credit your account by your phone number.

How do I know how many points I’ve earned?

Your Rewards Points are printed on the bottom of your receipt whenever you make a purchase as a Rewards Member. Also you may ask a cashier or call any of our stores if you would like us to look up your Reward Points status.

Do points expire?

Good news! Rewards Points never expire. Whatever points you have earned and not yet redeemed will be rolled over to the next year until you redeem them.

If I forget my card, can I still earn or redeem points?

Yes, the cashier can look up your account with the phone number you supplied when you signed up for Mahoney’s Rewards. However, in order to earn points you must inform the cashier that you’re a Mahoney’s Rewards Member at the time of the transaction.

Can I earn Points for previous purchases?

Sorry, no. But you can sign up in the store, and earn Points for purchases you make the same day.
