Creeping dogwood or bunchberry is a deciduous native groundcover ideal for a shady area under pines or broadleaf evergreens. Striking white flowers bloom in spring followed by scarlet berries in late summer. Spreads slowly to form a dense carpet of foliage. Most happy in a cool area with moist, organic-rich, acidic soil. Try mulching with peat moss or pine needles.
