Question

I purchased a Japanese Maple fall; nothing but a few suckers at the base any suggestions? Is it dead?

Answer

Check the branch by scratching it with your nails. If it is grenn under the first layer then it is alive and just late in producing leaf. If you have not fertilized use a tree and shrub fertilizer.

I scratched it. It’s dead. Can I dig it up and bring it back?
